AUGUSTA – House Democrats nominated Rep. Ryan Fecteau, D-Biddeford, to serve as Speaker of the House of Representatives for the 130th session of the Maine Legislature. Fecteau will be formally elected by the full House of Representatives when they convene on December 2 at the Augusta Civic Center. Fecteau is heading into his fourth term and currently serves as Assistant Majority Leader.
Speaker Sara Gideon released the following statement:

Serving as Speaker of the Maine House has been an incredible honor and an awesome responsibility and I’m confident that Ryan will be an excellent Presiding Officer.
